Because of your support in this election season, I stood without opposition and have now been elected by the people of Minnesota to remain on the bench.  I am honored to continue to serve as judge on the Court of Appeals.  My ongoing mission is to wear the robe with humility, to serve with integrity, and to do justice with uncompromising impartiality and fidelity to the rule of law.  

I accepted that mission when Governor Pawlenty called on me to serve on the Court.  I am even more privileged now that the citizens of our great state have had the opportunity over these years to measure my ongoing commitment to that mission, which I hoped to reflect in each of the 600 appeals I have had the privilege to judge, the 290 oral arguments I have heard, and the 210 judicial opinions I have written since my appointment to the bench.  

I humbly accept your vote of confidence and your offer that I remain in your service in a new term on the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
